Privacy Policy

This community is operated by 402lab (Alkmaar, Netherlands). We respect your privacy and want you to clearly understand how your data is used.

1. What we collect

When you apply to join or participate, we may collect:

• Name
• Email address
• Business type or role (optional)
• Any other details you share in the form

If accepted, we may create a profile in Socie (our online directory) using this information.

2. How we use your data

We use your data to:

• Review and process applications
• Send updates and event details
• Manage your profile in Socie
• Track membership status

Our legal basis for application review, community operations, and membership tracking is our legitimate interest in running the community.

Our legal basis for marketing emails and newsletters is your consent. You can withdraw consent at any time by unsubscribing or emailing privacy@famara402.nl.

We may include sponsored content from partners in our newsletters and event communications, where relevant to community members.

3. Where and how we store data

We use trusted services to run the community:

• WhatsApp (primary community chat)
• Socie (online directory, member profiles, events)
• MailerLite (applications, emails)
• Google services (documents, email, storage)

Some providers may store data outside the EU. They apply GDPR safeguards for transfers.

We may also use AI-based tools (like Claude, ChatGPT, or similar) for aggregate analytics, admin, and content drafting. These tools do not receive personal member data beyond what's needed for the specific task, and no personal data is used to train third-party AI models.

4. Profiles and community chat

• WhatsApp is our primary community chat. Participation is optional, and your phone number is visible to other members in the groups you join.
• Socie profiles are visible only to other community members, not to the public.
• What you share in your Socie profile is up to you.
• You can edit your Socie profile anytime.
• You can ask us to delete your Socie profile, and we will request deletion in Socie.

5. Sharing your data

We only share data when necessary:

• With Socie, MailerLite, Google to operate the hub and communications.
• With tools we may adopt for community chat (see section 8).
• If required by law.

We never sell your data.

We may feature sponsored content from partners in our communications, but we do not share your personal data with sponsors, advertisers, or third parties for their marketing purposes.

6. How long we keep data

We keep your data while you are a member.

If you leave, we will delete or anonymize the data we control within 6 months, unless the law requires longer.

Socie, MailerLite, Google, and WhatsApp may retain some records in line with their own retention policies.

7. Cookies and tracking

Our website uses tracking to improve outreach:

Facebook Pixel and LinkedIn Insight Tag track visits, applications, and ad performance. They may collect pages visited, actions taken, and device/browser info.

Data may be processed outside the EU and is governed by Facebook's and LinkedIn's Data Policies. Once shared, we cannot delete it.

8. Other platforms

Besides WhatsApp and Socie, we may experiment with tools like Slack, Discord, or other chat platforms.

• Joining these is optional.
• If you join, your data is handled under each platform's policies.
• We may use AI-based tools (like Claude, ChatGPT, or similar) for aggregate analytics, admin work, and content drafting. These tools do not receive personal member data beyond what's needed for the specific task, and no personal data is used to train third-party AI models.

9. Your rights under GDPR

You can:

• Request a copy of your data
• Correct inaccuracies
• Ask for deletion of your data
• Withdraw consent anytime

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.

We may update this Privacy Policy. Significant changes will be shared by email.
